week 4

In my week four observations i saw a lot of the same organisms, just a more of them. The diatoms in my tank seem to have multiplied even more since last week. The amebias have also ballooned out. I saw a new organism known as diflusia and a new species of rotifer known as Macrochaetus. There was also new paramecium in my tank as well this week.

week 3

In my week three observations I noticed a lot more diatoms and amibas. There was also some dead protazoa in my tank this week. There was also more algae build up in the tank. Compitition within the tank is building and that is evident in the dead protazoa.

Week 2

In my week 2 observations I noticed new and old organisms in my tank. The new organisms were an Lacrymaria, Voricella, Lembadion, and Rotifer. I also had to had more water to my tank because it had gone done a considerable amount this week.

week 1

In my first week of observations, I noticed that my aquarium had developed some algea. I also noticed a few more organisms in my tank. Some of the organisms a observed in my tank were a copepod cyclops, a parasitic nematode, a midge, and a seed shrimp. I really did not see any dead organisms in my tank after the first week.

micraquarium

In my microaquarium I added the number eight water source, which was taken from the Tennessee river. I also added the soil from the same source. I placed two different types of plants in the microaquarium. My first observation of the microaquarium I found a few different types of organisms swimming around. In the soil I observed an organism known as carpenters ruler. First observed on Oct. 12.
